I have abandoned the plan to stitch a tui on this piece as too "Kiwiana" souvenir style and am now making it my interpretation of our boat trip to the Huka Falls.
It is very windy outside and Al has gone up to Auckland with his brother so I am having a relaxed afternoon just stitching.
Love the stitching especially the colours. Went on one of the boats at Huka Falls on our visit to NZ, Fantastic fun if a little scary but then that is the point isn't it. Hope you had a great time. Gillx

There is as much movement in your stitching as there is in the flow of water. Lovely colours, too. Enjoy your quiet stitch retreat!
