The copy of Jill Liddell's wonderful, "The Story of the Kimono" has arrived, all the way from the US of A! I've been trying to get a copy, at a sensible price, for a long time since Jenni Dobson recommended it and am so excited to finally have one. The book was published in 1989 by E. P. Dutton and the ISBN is 0-525-24574-X. Here are a couple of pictures from the glorious inside, when I've read it I'll write more.
Oh Lis, you know now I want one too. I will get my library to get a copy for our collections.
ReplyDeleteLis, I'm going to destruct a kimono in the next couple of days. I have one that I haven't worn for 3 years and thought why not destruct it and use the fabric - Hugs Nat
