The more it snows, tiddley-pom
This is the fantastic photo from space taken by nasa and being shown all over the place today - television, newspapers, twitter etc etc so I thought I'd share it too. It was taken yesterday and shows our amazing white out - the Big Freeze! We're in the middle of a blizzard here in Lincolnshire as I type and I think the forecast is for more of the same. All the local schools are closed (the children are really, really upset!) and, more unfortunately, a lot of roads are blocked due to accidents. I'm very fortunate that the fire is blazing and I don't have to go out. Please keep warm and safe if you're having winter and to all Southern Hemisphere bloggers - please send us some of your warmth!

We have had the same here. I am in as well and happily sewing.
ReplyDeleteSending over warmth now! Sounds kinda cosy though with a blizzard outside and a warm fire inside. Good sewing weather!
ReplyDeleteI'm quite happy because it's meant that I've had 2 unscheduled days off work! But I do worry a about family members when they're out in their cars.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice though, inside with the wood burner blazing!
It is an amazing pic - more like an ice age. Even in London its really white still. I've decided to hibernate until it melts - or until I run out of food!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly good sewing weather and I'm making the most of it!
ReplyDeleteHi Lis
ReplyDeleteWhat an amzing picture, it has been on our news down here in the Southern Hemisphere. Looks nice, but there must be so much disrution to the whole country. While you are shivering, we are going to enjoy our BBQ of chicken kebabs, sausages, mushrooms and salad, eaten in the sunshine on our back deck. After all, it is summer down here in New Zealand!!
