Wow, that must mean it's time for my first giveaway. It's going to be a little difficult to organise it in the traditional fashion so this is what I'm going to do.
I'm going to leave the giveaway open until the first quilt shop I get to in New Zealand (which will be soon after 20th February). Then I'm going to buy some gorgeous things and pick a winner to send them to.

Congratulations on your 100th post! Mine is fast approaching too. Okay I have to say the one thing you have to do while in New Zealand is go for a walk in the New Zealand bush and enjoy the sounds of our native birds. I could be biased and say visit the Coromandel Peninsula where there is beautiful bush walks and beachs but I imagine you're on a tight schedule and have already planned where you are going. Enjoy you're trip! It sounds fabulous!

ReplyDeleteHi Lis, and CONGRATS on your 100 posts! I always love to discover blogs from different countries, and there's not often I come across some from NZ.
ReplyDeleteI'm following your blog from today, and I have posted about your giveaway at my blog and added it to the side bar too. http://grandmasredneedle.blogspot.com
NZ is my #1 destination to visit, because it is said to be similar to my home country Norway, with its mountains and lakes etc. And I have a few wonderful penfriends there I'd like to visit - one day. :)
OOOOPS!!! I think I misunderstood... (see my comment above) I thought you are living in NZ, but you are going there on holiday - right? Sorry I'm mixing up! :)Confused! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI do not think I will ever visit NZ but I would like, because is a very beautiful country. I am a follower and I put a link on my sidebar. Please count me in!
ReplyDeleteHi Lis!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 100th post; it's a big milestone! I would love a chance to win something from New Zealand. I had a boss who was born and raised there, and he told so many stories that I have been curious to see it for myself ever since. I understand that the nature is very similar to Norway, which of course means it's very beautiful;-).
I love to travel but I hear New Zealand is a quiet place but have the same features as the Scandinavia which I want to go too.
ReplyDeleteI am now a follower, thanks to one of your follower who showed the way to your blog.
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit NZ to see all the beautiful animals, wildlife and flowers!
ReplyDelete(And I hear there are a bunch of great quilters there too!)
New Follower!!
Thanks for the give away!

Hi Lis
ReplyDeletecongratulations on your 100th post. Yes, there are lots of awesome quilting ladies living in NZ, especially the ones who have emigrated from Yorkshire, lol! The best non quilting thing you should try when you are here is hot air ballooning at Methven in the South Island, or failing that a walk up Mount Egmont, our local mountain. Just off to make sure I've got my 4 entries sorted out!
Congratulations on the 100 posts Lis!
ReplyDeleteI'm already following! And am sooooo jealous, I'd love to visit NZ, but for now I will have to revel in you photo's and avidly read your posts about it. Have a great holiday! Hope to see you on the flip side, we must get together so you can tell me all about it! :)
Congratulations on your 100th post. I like the fact New Zealand has no snakes and few poisoness spiders!!!!! Does that count? A friend and I were both thinking it might be a nice place to move too and have a garden without any nasty surprises popping up. Signed up as a follower, you have a very interesting blog and some lovely work, glad I found you.
ReplyDeleteBoth of my daughters have been visiting NZ and they have been telling me wunderful stories about your country, that is why I wount to visit NZ and because I belive that what they are telling me is the thruth.

ReplyDeleteI would really like to visit New Zealand because 1) my daughter went there and loved it 2) I have relatives there 3) I think it is beautiful - maybe something like where I live in the Yukon 4) I am interested in the history and traditions.
ReplyDeleteOh and I am putting you on my blog list so I can be a follower.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations with your anniversary.
ReplyDelete* I just signed up as a follower
* I will blog about your giveaway
* I would like to visit NZ because some of my (distant) family emigrated to NZ. I love to see how and where they live
By the way I really like your blog. You make such wonderful things. I only wish I could do so.
How lucky of you to be going to NZ, I only live across the ditch to them, but alas, no trips over there on the horizon for me. I'd love to go there to see all the beautiful places I've seen on tv and the internet, and to meet all the lovely people I know from blogs and craft groups that live there. I don't think I'd be visiting the fabric shops as I've heard about the prices...pretty expensive. Wish you had room in your luggage for me! I'm a follower now! Saw your giveaway listed on Not Just Nat's blog. Hugs Naomi
ReplyDeleteOh so wish I could fit in your suitcase! I love New Zealand. You must get to the Arts Centre in Christchurch and also take the tram tour around Christchurch city.I did not get to see enough of NZ and plan to go back and do just that. Wonderful Chocolates in Blenheim and Art Deco in Napier. Have the greatest Time :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers
Lynne who has just found your blog and is now a follower :-)
