100th Post Giveaway

As I get the Holiday Quilting posts lined up I realise I am fast approaching my 100th post on this blog.  I have loved blogging and getting to know lots of other bloggers and quilters all over the world and so it's time to give a little back.
Wow, that must mean it's time for my first giveaway.  It's going to be a little difficult to organise it in the traditional fashion so this is what I'm going to do.
I'm going to leave the giveaway open until the first quilt shop I get to in New Zealand (which will be soon after 20th February).  Then I'm going to buy some gorgeous things and pick a winner to send them to.

  • If you're already a follower you get one extra entry.
  • Sign up to follow my blog (or if you are already a follower), you get one entry.
  • Leave a comment on this post and tell me why you'd like to visit New Zealand, you get one entry.  Or if you live in New Zealand please tell me the thing I must do when I visit for one entry.
  • And finally, if you blog about my giveaway and link back to this post you get one entry in my giveaway.  Leave a comment to say you've blogged.

So you could have a maximum of four chances to win something gorgeously quilty from New Zealand.  Please make sure you leave a way for me to contact you.
And thank you for joining me on my blog, Happy Quilting, love Lis xx

  1. Congratulations on your 100th post! Mine is fast approaching too. Okay I have to say the one thing you have to do while in New Zealand is go for a walk in the New Zealand bush and enjoy the sounds of our native birds. I could be biased and say visit the Coromandel Peninsula where there is beautiful bush walks and beachs but I imagine you're on a tight schedule and have already planned where you are going. Enjoy you're trip! It sounds fabulous!

  7. Hi Lis, and CONGRATS on your 100 posts! I always love to discover blogs from different countries, and there's not often I come across some from NZ.
I'm following your blog from today, and I have posted about your giveaway at my blog and added it to the side bar too. http://grandmasredneedle.blogspot.com
NZ is my #1 destination to visit, because it is said to be similar to my home country Norway, with its mountains and lakes etc. And I have a few wonderful penfriends there I'd like to visit - one day. :)

  10. Hi Lis!
Congratulations on your 100th post; it's a big milestone! I would love a chance to win something from New Zealand. I had a boss who was born and raised there, and he told so many stories that I have been curious to see it for myself ever since. I understand that the nature is very similar to Norway, which of course means it's very beautiful;-).

  14. Hi Lis
congratulations on your 100th post. Yes, there are lots of awesome quilting ladies living in NZ, especially the ones who have emigrated from Yorkshire, lol! The best non quilting thing you should try when you are here is hot air ballooning at Methven in the South Island, or failing that a walk up Mount Egmont, our local mountain. Just off to make sure I've got my 4 entries sorted out!

  16. Congratulations on your 100th post. I like the fact New Zealand has no snakes and few poisoness spiders!!!!! Does that count? A friend and I were both thinking it might be a nice place to move too and have a garden without any nasty surprises popping up. Signed up as a follower, you have a very interesting blog and some lovely work, glad I found you.

  23. How lucky of you to be going to NZ, I only live across the ditch to them, but alas, no trips over there on the horizon for me. I'd love to go there to see all the beautiful places I've seen on tv and the internet, and to meet all the lovely people I know from blogs and craft groups that live there. I don't think I'd be visiting the fabric shops as I've heard about the prices...pretty expensive. Wish you had room in your luggage for me! I'm a follower now! Saw your giveaway listed on Not Just Nat's blog. Hugs Naomi
