Dwejra, Gozo in Pictures

Here we are at the Azure Window on Gozo (note the indigo scarf I'm wearing and ignore Al's hat please).  Today's post is a flying visit to Gozo, the sister island to Malta, reached by a short ferry crossing.  It's much more laid back than Malta and quieter, especially when you can avoid the coach trips which disgorge their passengers for a quick photo fest and then load up again and disappear to the next honey trap.  Here comes one now.....

We enjoyed fossils, flowers, it was sunny enough for lizards....

The views were great

and I even managed an arty shot!

Thank you for all your lovely comments and please be assured I am getting plenty of rest while we're here.

  3. Gorgeous photos, Lis. In Aussie, we call those hats "giggle hats" for obvious reasons.

  4. The scenery reminds me of the 'rauks' of Gotland in the Baltic Sea.

  5. PS. The first photo is almost a replica of the About Me picture. Same people different place?

  6. You are certainly having a marvelous time. Love the sunshine. Coldest Adelaide May day in 25 years yesterday. I am green with envy for the sunshine. Just love the photos. We used to have a similar arch here on The great ocean road in Victoria but the end eventually was worn away.

  7. Our arch collapsed a number of years ago with a group of people standing on it!

Wonderful places, to think that Malta is so near to Italy and that I have never been there....

  9. Lovely photos of Malta Lis, thank you. Malta. Used to be. Our stopover to get cheaper flights out of North Africa. Your photos reminded me of our time there.
