These spiders could do with insulating their homes....
Even though we are very cold today and more snow is forecast there are plenty of signs that Spring is on the way...
Today I'm staying indoors and tending DH and the fire. I've borrowed an idea from Angela and have a bowl of eco-dyeing sitting on top of the woodburner. It's the last of the poinsettia flowers and leaves, a little remnant of Christmas infused into cloth. It currently looks like a large fabric bruise but I'll wait and see.
Keep warm (or cool if you're in the Southern Hemisphere) and have a great weekend.
Can't wait to see your fabrics, I have a jar of logwood sitting on it at present. Show and Tell next time?? I know it is cold when the geese put themselves to bed. Keep warm xx
ReplyDeleteThat looks interesting can't wait to see how that turns out!Hope DH is recovering nicely.
ReplyDeleteTake care and keep warm.
Love and hugs Georgie xx
I'm intrigued to see how the fabric turns out...The weather does look cold there... not sure it's been that much better here we sure are having a funny summer ;O)
ReplyDeleteHugs from NZ
Beautiful! just cold down here, sunny but no snow and not much frost
ReplyDeleteI found something like that in the back of the fridge.......
ReplyDeleteimagine the strength of those webs to hold all that ice! I hope the resident was taking a holiday in some warmer place. Rotting bananas stain cloth too but I din't know what I would make of it.
ReplyDeleteThose frozen webs are really pretty! Good luck with the fabric dyeing!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Lis. I will be showing you eco-dyeing on the tour as part of extra activity. I think your is looking good already. Dyed fabric goes well with indigo! Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteI love the frozen cowebs, they look like lace.
ReplyDeleteI am very curious about ecodyeing, I wish I still had my Aga in order to experiment with long hours of slow heating. Now I do short times in a pressure cooker...for food too!
