      4. Hi Lis
We learnt about Japan last term for homeschooling, it would be so neat to be able to take the kids there, not to mention all the fabric shopping I could do!
Perhaps I should teach the kids how to do some sashiko, add another dimension to their studies!

      9. Please can I be one of your friends!!! Only a very new one tho, but never the less am keen to keep up with what your are doing in the wonderful world of quilting. Your description of your time in Japan especially about how it affected you in a gentle and quiet way appeals especially after such a rushed and busy life we westerners live.

      47. Why I'd like to visit Japan? Well, if I had to count all the reasons, we'd still be sitting here without getting any sleep 8D No, really. I've been interested in most Asian cultures since I was a little lad. Among the things I like most about Japan would be the food - as a vegetarian in Germany (Where meat is like... daily food) I found some Japanese dishes to be fresh and tasty for me. So when I finally get to visit Japan, I will eat out and enjoy it. =) And I absolutely love your giveaway! I'm not letting my thumbs go until the 20th! 8D

      115. When I was in high school we had an exchange student from Japan. Komiko Nakiyama... she was truly a delight and I've been fascinated with the culture and people every since. Now our 14 year old son has begun his own love affair with Japan and I would like to be able to go to Japan and experience it with him one of these days. (His brothers are not so interested but my hubby is game!!)

I have loved reading about the culture and how different it is from here in the states. And I love the clothing (from the traditional to the edgy kind of bizarre stuff) and art.
